WORD PROJECT PRESS

The Word Project Press is an independent literary press, founded in 2012. Initially, it was created in response to a need within the writing community of the Mother Lode in the foothills of the Sierras in California. In 2014, we started accepting work from authors living further afield. However, we continue to focus on providing local talented writers the opportunity to publish their work more directly than through the mainstream publishing channels. Our aim is to publish collections of short stories and poetry, as well as innovative fiction and creative non-fiction. The Word Project Press offers writers greater freedom to move their work out into the world.
