Description

The Amador County Recreation Agency in partnership with Amador Flyfishers, a local fishing club, is pleased to offer a course on the ins and outs of fly fishing to those who want to learn about the sport.

Class Schedule

Saturday & Sunday May 19th & 20th - 9:00am - 4:00pm
at the Hub in Jackson

Saturday, June 2nd
Fishing outing to practice what you learned

Class Cost: $45


Pre-registration Required through Amador County Recreation Agency (see contact info)

What you will learn:

  • How fly fishing is different and why
  • Importance of insects and aquatic animals as food
  • Overview of fly fishing equipment and how to use it
  • Where to go fishing, and how to find the fish
  • Fly fishing strategies, tactics, and techniques
  • Resources to help you get a fast start
  • and much more

Course size is limited to 25 people
18 years or older.
(Ages 12-17 can participate if accompanied by a paying adult participant.)

Bring snacks, drinks and lunch.
